To whom it may concern,
Last fall I was diagnosed with breast cancer. A diagnosis that was almost overlooked. Thankfully my gynecologist of twenty years, Dr. Frederick Rau, pushed me to pursue it. I truly believe he saved my life.
He referred me to Dr. Elizabeth Brady. She was quick to react and took charge as my diagnosis seemed to be getting worse. I liked her "take charge" attitude while not losing sight of the turmoil I was going through. She referred me to Dr. Patricia DeFusco, another wonderful physician, who carefully evaluated my situation with precision, expertise and a very caring touch.
During all of this an MRI showed a mass on my liver. Dr. Brady promised me I would get my break.
I did get my break. While waiting for the results of the liver biopsy (which fortunately turned out to be benign) my husband and I met with Dr. Orlando DeLucia. By now I was living in this surreal world. I was petrified I wouldn't be here to raise my two young children. My head was buzzing and my heart empty. I was terrified.
Dr. DeLucia walked in the room and I immediately felt a sense of peace and hope. I don't know how I would have gotten through the next year without him.
Dr. DeLucia would encourage me each time he saw me. He was so patient and compassionate' never losing sight of how I was feeling and the pain I was going through. And each time, I pushed through to the next appointment.
Against all odds, he could even make me laugh, not just a little but a lot.
Dr. DeLucia told me early on that he never forgets a cancer patient. Be certain that this cancer patient will never EVER forget him...
