The Connecticut Surgical Group (CSG) is a multi-specialty surgical group practice of 35 physicians practicing in eight specialties. The group provides inpatient surgical services at Hartford Hospital, John Dempsey Hospital at UCONN Health Center and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. The group maintains offices in 14 locations throughout Greater Hartford.
The Connecticut Surgical Group is recognized as the "surgical option of choice" for many patients throughout Greater Hartford. Physicians with the group have been leaders in bringing advanced surgical techniques to the Greater Hartford area in the specialties of: General Surgery, Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Podiatry, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery as well as Vascular & Thoracic Surgery.
Most recently the Connecticut Surgical Group has been instrumental in initiating and developing the following Diagnostic & Treatment Centers:
Each year the group provides care to over 90,000 patients in the office and performs over 40,000 surgical procedures.
Physicians of the Connecticut Surgical Group maintain their role as innovators of high quality surgical care through their active participation in teaching and research activities. They are on the faculty of the University of Connecticut Medical School and are faculty for the Hartford Hospital residency programs. In addition, the group recently developed the Connecticut Surgical Education & Research Foundation in response to a variety of industry and pharmaceutical companies that were interested in partnering to identify ways of improving care.
